Vishal to romance with three hot missies

Changing phase in Kollywood has indeed landed up actors to go for an instantaneous conclusion. For illustration, it’s Vishal who has temporarily said ‘goodbye’ to action packed cinemas and will now focus on romance. His next film ‘Theeradha Vilaiyaadu Pilla’ is all about a romance film that will have three heroines in the title cards. It’s been confirmed that Bollywood’s hot alluring actress Tanushree Dutta will star him opposite in the female lead. Meanwhile, buzzes are that Reema Sen would also be a part of this heroines’ list and other one is yet to be zeroed down. Maybe, is Vishal planning to go for a Kollywood ride of ‘Bacchna Ae Hasino’… Simbhu Hurry soon!!! 

New formulas of ageing actresses

Looks like it’s time for Trisha, Nayan, Namitha and Sneha to say good bye.

On the dots, it’s a clear-cut formula that’s so blatant even amongst the kids. So, what’s this all about? Patently, about the ageing actresses who have chosen new mantras of sustaining themselves in tinsel town. It’s all because of young bubbly actresses making high waves across the industry. Trisha who doesn’t spare any call sheets for the young actors has now changed her course in career graph. Earlier, the actress was persistently spotted pairing up with senior actors like Ajith, Vijay, Surya and Vikram. But now, she has simultaneously signed up for Simbhu, Dhanush and Aarya. Eventually, Nayanthara has no big offers in town except her ‘Aadhavan’ with Surya.

Precisely, it’s Thamannah and Anushka who have made these senior actresses woe-stricken. Thamannah has already strode through spectacular show in all three releases of this year. Of course, her characterization in ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ is sure to win her laurels while ‘Paiyya’ is again a different storyline. On the pars, Anushka is doing extremely well pairing up with Vijay and Surya…  Genelia D’Souza is again one more sensation who’s looking for big offers in town of Kollywood.

Movie Review: Ananda Thandavam

‘Turning words into pictures’ – Perhaps, this isn’t something easy as every auteur as they glimpse through each spellbinding novel. Precisely, Gandhi Krishna has attempted on Sujatha’s ‘Pirivoam Sandipoam’ on the screens. Has the colossal piece worked wonders on screens? Certainly, but not exceeding your expectations. Maybe, for those who have read the novel, it’s not gonna be easy to perceive the adapted version. Looks like Gandhi Krishna has blended some of the worst commercial aspects so adequately that spoils the Sujatha’s touch.

Ragupathi (Siddarth) – the youngster stands on the cliff of rocky hills of heavily gushing down waters of Kuttralam. Yeah! Your guesses are right? He jumps right down and there commences the flashback revealing Raghu is an unemployed youngster quite frustrated all the time. His dad (Kitty) is so kind enough in caring him who doesn’t pressurize things on his life, but has strong advises on the lad. Meanwhile, Raghu falls flattered in love with Madumitha (Thamannah) who’s so good and kind-hearted in nature. Their engagement rings appear glossy on their fingers and still few days left for their nuptials. But everything is dashed down once Radhakrishnan (Rishi) of Mackintosh from US brainwashes the entire family and gets Madhu married to him. And now, you’ve the reason lying beneath Raghu’s suicide attempt. Don’t worry, he’s saved by his dad and his revival blooms once he flees to US for higher studies. Fine! Then he meets Rathna (Rukmani) born and brought up in States, yet stiffly adhered to Indian Culture and Traditions. Things go so fine between these two and they’re ready to marry in Pittsburgh Temple. But, Madhu and Raghu meet each other that leads to series of unexpected twists and turns with an appalling climax.

Siddarth brims with a decent show and looks cute on the screens. For sure, he would be the latest sensations amongst the girls in town. Thamannah is outstanding on her performance and she eclipsing everybody with her best act. Rukmani has a beautiful delineation while Rishi evokes the right feel of antagonism. When everything is perfect with casting, Gandhi Krishna terribly fails in penning a gripping narration. Merely, miniscule audiences would’ve patience to watch the film completely while for the rest they step of out the theatres post-interval.

Musical score by G.V. Prakash is commendable. Jeeva Shankar’s cinematography is yet another embellishment adding to colorful looks. V.T. Vijayan’s editing is so amateurish as it lacks continuity.

On the whole, Ananda Thandavam has probabilities for sustaining the shows in Multiplexes for few weeks. But, there are no chances of winning the response at ‘B’ and ‘C’ Centres…

Verdict: Middling adaption of a prodigious novel.  

First Exclusive Look on Kanden Kadhalai

Well, this must be really drenching you absolutely in frustrations as you glimpse through these pictures. Of course, ‘Jab we met’, the best lad and missy Shahid and Kareena on the screens. But the distressing part comes through the remake version as an actor like Bharath who possess the exact look of a dim-witted, pie-eyed personality. ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ has Bharath and Thamannah in the lead roles. I’m pretty sure Thamannah would overbeat Kareena as the Bollywood actress had more overreacted. The film was shot so far at Chengalput, Ooty, Coonoor, Pollachi, Tirumoorthy Dam and locations surrounding these areas. The balance part of the film will be shot in Theni, Pollachi and Chennai in June/July and the film will be completed with that. The film is tentatively planned for release in Sept’09 and the entire production team is working in a planned manner to bring out the film soon. With first schedule of the film completed, 50% has been covered in a period of 27 Days. Director Kannan has handled screenplay and direction. According to Thamannah, the actress says that it’s not just a remake, but Director Kannan has added whole lot of innovative inputs…

 

 

Actress Sona turns producer now

Wow! Young actors and actresses turning into producers have really shored Tamil Cinema on new grounds. Followed by Aarya, Bhoomika Chawla and others, actress Sona is making her debut as a producer. Recently, the actress had launched her Lifestyle Showroom UNIQ and it’s time to rock in tinsel town.

Her first production is titled as ‘Odu Machi Odu’ has started rolling recently. The actress had earlier made some glamorous roles including Kuselan.  Her production house is too titled ‘UNIQ Productions’ and is directed by Jailani of Kelvikuri. This a edge-seated thriller with more and more commercial ingredients. Jailani himself dons the role of protagonist while German model and singer Gladia and a Mumbai girl Shwetha as eye candy.Michael, Mr. Chennai is the baddie in this film…  Fredrick Whiteman has scored music….
